Day 2.
Day 2

Breakfast at the Hotel. By 0900 hrs, proceed to explore the historic highlights of Dubai City. Visit Dubai Museum, Abra Taxi, Bastakiya, Gold & Spice Souks. Lunch at Al Ibrahimi Restaurant. Post lunch, back to the hotel. By 1500 hrs, proceed for Desert Safari and enjoy the dune bashing and amenities at the camp followed by barbeque dinner. Back to the Hotel for overnight. Visit the old districts of Al Fahidi and Al Bastakiya and discover the restored wind tower houses and narrow lanes. Dubai Museum, housed in the Al Fahidi Fort which was built in 1787, features galleries that recreate historic Arab houses, mosques, Souks, date farms and desert and marine life. It also includes an exhibit on pearl diving, with sets of pearl merchant’s weights, scales and sieves. You can view artefacts from Africa and Asia, as well as local finds from several archaeological digs that date back to the third millennium BC. Abra comes from the Arabic verb “abara” which means to cross. Enjoy the ride on the Dubai Abra, the city’s most traditional mode of transport. For centuries, it has remained one of Dubai’s most frequented modes of transport, making it the symbol of the city’s history and heritage. A traditional market set at the heart of a district called Deira, the ‘souk’ is a place to buy or sell and is Arabic word for ‘Mall’. With 300 shops, big and small, Gold Souk is known to have the best gold jewellery in Dubai. It is widely known all over the world that the affordable gold price in Dubai is highly sought-after. Shops with exclusive gold and diamond necklaces displayed in the windows are the perfect way to intrigue customers and with mannequins adorned with beautiful gold dresses, customers file indoors to have a look at more. The Desert Safari Dubai is synonym to the exciting ride in Red Dunes of Dubai in a typical 4WD vehicle. Along with the joyful and fearful cackles you raise during dune ride, Desert Safari in Dubai gives the glimpse and flavour of typical Arab Bedouin lifestyle once you arrive at the camp site in Dubai Desert. The 4×4 desert safari is a thrilling ride you would take in a SUV through the daring sand dunes of Dubai. A trip to the desert without riding on the ship of the desert isn’t worth the trip at all. Camel safaris are undoubtedly very popular in the region. For those concerned about how these animals are treated, do not worry, they are well fed and not mistreated under any circumstances. The term “Belly dance” is a translation of the French “danse du ventre” which was applied to the dance in the Victorian era. Belly dance takes many different forms depending on country and region, both in costume and dance style, and new styles have evolved in the West as its popularity has spread globally. Dune bashing means driving at increasing and decreasing speeds over sand dunes. As the surface of the sand keeps shifting, it takes a special skill and a special type of car to navigate the terrain – usually a sports utility vehicle (SUV). The dune bashing, part of Desert Safari tour, is a bumpy and thrilling ride that lasts about an hour.
